Inner healing, deliverance, and our encounter with God
We believe that Jesus came to release the captives, to save, to free, to heal and restore. But we know that so many of us today are damaged by the experiences that we have had; the hurts from a difficult childhood, abuse and ill treatment, friends who have let us down, poor parenting, absent fathers, bad memories, lack of love, rejection, tight finances, grief, depression, loss and the many other huge obstacles that we have faced in life. Many of us carry these hurts with us, and they steal our joy, dash our hopes and dreams, damage our ability to really love God and others unconditionally, harm relationships, and dent our self-esteem.
To combat this and to free people to live as we believe God intended, in power and freedom, we hold our bi-annual “Encounter with God” weekend. This is a weekend of teaching, fellowship and prayer which gives the opportunity to have a deep personal encounter with Jesus, with a focus on inner healing and on breaking free from the past. It will help you experience healing and bring wholeness from past experience and memories. As the conference runs from Friday evening until Sunday afternoon, lunch and dinner are provided. The conference is open to anybody. Please look out for our adverts and come along.
Got questions about life? Wondering if there is more to life than the daily grind? Explore life, faith, meaning with us. Alpha is a series of twelve sessions exploring the Christian faith. Each evening centres around a meal, a talk which looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation, and discussion.
Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone’s welcome. It runs in cafés, churches, universities, homes—you name it. No two Alphas look the same, but generally they have three key things in common: food, a talk and good conversation.
We run Alpha annually; look for our adverts and do come along.
From time to time we run teaching courses. Naturally, we run baptism courses, and we also hold an annual Christian Growth Course (CGC). This bible-based programme of teaching is delivered by members of our teaching team based on material written by our senior pastors in Brazil. It is designed to help us grow deeper in intimacy with God and to mature in our spiritual lives, becoming increasingly more Christlike, and to be able to walk in holiness and power in an often hostile world.
